Policy Guidelines
- Minimum Attendance: At least 75% of all live or in-person sessions and 100% of all online or self-paced courses.
- Participation: Active engagement in discussions, assignments, and group work is expected.
- Excused Absences: Must be communicated in advance with valid reasons.
- Tracking: Attendance is monitored via LMS check-ins and logs.
- Consequences: Poor attendance may lead to academic penalties or suspension.
Exceptions
Emergency or health-related absences may be reviewed case-by-case.

Policy Guidelines
Definition:
Plagiarism includes copying another person’s work without proper citation or credit. This also includes submitting work generated solely by artificial intelligence (AI), as opposed to using AI tools to assist in learning and research with proper acknowledgment.Detection:
All major submissions are subject to plagiarism checks to ensure academic integrity.Consequences:
Any student found guilty of plagiarism may face consequences including grade penalties, the requirement to resubmit work, or expulsion from the program.

None. All cases of plagiarism and academic dishonesty will be reviewed and acted upon accordingly.

Students must use PLLI’s technology platforms responsibly and ethically.
Purpose
To ensure effective, secure use of digital tools.
Scope
All users of PLLI’s LMS and tech platforms.
Policy Guidelines
- Access: Login credentials must be kept private.
- Content Use: Materials may not be redistributed.
- Technical Support: Issues should be reported via plli.org/support.
- Abuse: Unauthorized activity will lead to disciplinary action.

- Slide Presentations are not distributed.
- Materials Provided: Worksheets, assignments, case studies, and scenarios.
- Confidentiality: Sharing or reproducing content is prohibited.

- Fee Commitment: Payments are due as scheduled.
- No Refunds: Withdrawal or absence does not qualify for a refund.
- Payment Plans: May be available on a case-by-case basis.
- Transfers: Fees may be transferred to a future cohort if deferment is approved.

- Access: Students may request access, correction, or deletion.
- Security: Platforms are encrypted and access-controlled.

PLLI allows students to defer their studies under valid circumstances, providing a structured process to ensure academic continuity.
Purpose
To support students facing significant personal, health, or professional challenges by providing an opportunity to pause and resume their studies without academic penalty.
Scope
This policy applies to all students enrolled in any program across all schools of PLLI.
Policy Guidelines
Eligibility for Deferment
A student may request deferment under the following conditions:Medical or personal health challenges
Family emergencies or unforeseen personal circumstances
Extreme work-related commitments (for corporate-sponsored students)
Financial constraints requiring temporary withdrawal
Other significant reasons, subject to PLLI’s review and approval
Deferment Conditions
Deferment is allowed once per program cycle and must be requested before the final 75% of the course/program duration (~module 2/course 2).
A deferred student must resume studies within one year of approval. Failure to do so may require full re-enrollment.
Fees already paid will be transferred to the new enrollment period but may be adjusted if tuition or program structures change.
Deferment does not apply to short-term courses or workshops lasting less than six weeks.
Application Process
Submit a formal request letter at least 7 days before the intended deferment date via email to office@plli.org.
The request must include:
Full name
Program name
Reason for deferment
Expected resumption date
Any supporting documentation (e.g., medical reports, employer letters)
For sponsored students, the deferment letter should be issued on the sponsoring organization’s official letterhead.
PLLI will respond within five (5) business days with an approval decision, conditions, or alternatives.
Resumption & Re-Enrollment
Students must notify PLLI at least 14 days before their intended return date.
Reinstatement is subject to program availability and any updates to curriculum or fees.
Students may be placed in the next available cohort or asked to complete bridging modules if required.
Financial Considerations
Tuition and fees already paid may be credited toward the next available session upon resumption.
Refunds are not provided for deferment cases.
Sponsored students may continue under the original sponsorship if the sponsor agrees. If sponsorship is withdrawn, the student may be required to self-fund the remaining part of their program.
Exceptions
Students may request additional deferment only under exceptional, documented circumstances, subject to approval by the Academic Board.
