Meet the MLCP Basic Graduate, Oluwatoyin

Oluwatoyin serves both in the marketplace and in ministry. As a Research Scientist and Assistant Director at the Nigerian Institute for Oceanography and Marine Research, and an ordained minister at RCCG The King’s Court, Oluwatoyin lives at the intersection of professional excellence and spiritual service.

Before MLCP

Oluwatoyin had a strong foundation in both her personal walk with God and her ministry service at RCCG The King’s Court. A born-again Christian baptized with the Holy Ghost, she served actively in the choir as the prayer coordinator and led the Mary Prayer Team under the Foundation of Sapphires. She had also completed the School of Disciples and the RCCG Bible College and was ordained as a minister in RCCG Lagos.

These experiences gave her a strong start, but she longed for something more: clarity of calling, deeper confidence, and practical leadership tools to align her ministry with biblical principles. That search led her to MLCP.

The Turning Point: Choosing MLCP

Oluwatoyin desired to grow in spiritual leadership and become more effective in her ministry assignments. The solid biblical focus and practical design of MLCP attracted her. She saw it as the right platform to sharpen her vision, embrace structure, and prepare for the next level of ministry with excellence and boldness.

Inside the Experience

Going through the MLCP courses and worksheets was, in her words, “impactful and enriching.” Each module challenged her to think critically, apply Scripture practically, and grow in confidence as a leader.

Two courses stood out significantly:

  • Ministry of the Word and the Holy Spirit with Minister Kolawole Shawana — especially his anointed teaching and prayer sessions, which stirred her passion for the Word and the Spirit.
  • Spiritual Growth and Maturity with Pastor Tim Adeyemi — which pushed her into deeper spiritual maturity and personal responsibility in her walk with God.

The fellowship with other participants was also a blessing, as it provided encouragement and a sense of shared growth.

After MLCP: Tangible Transformation

MLCP shifted Oluwatoyin’s perspective on ministry: leadership is purposeful, intentional service rooted in humility and clarity.

Some of her most visible changes include:

  • Learning to speak up at the right time despite her naturally quiet personality — communicating more clearly while staying sensitive to the Holy Spirit.
  • Becoming more intentional in pastoral care, following up with fellow believers, especially sick choir members, through prayer, phone calls, and encouragement.
  • Growing in her capacity to lead intercession with unity and boldness, spending long hours praying and guiding her team with renewed strength.

 

These practical shifts confirmed her growth and gave her confidence to lead with greater love, clarity, and vision.
